The day was designated Eric Day by the church Council.

Eric Drillinger became an honorary member of the congregation following an adapted service of Reception within morning worship. Eric's parents, David and Gail, reaffirmed their guardianship promises on behalf of Eric.

The congregation again proved their inclusive welcome that is without regard to race, gender, age, ethnic background, socioeconomic status, or physical/mental abilities.

The service was followed by the congregation sharing a giant cookie with Eric.

The worship service included the honoring of those who had been members of the congregation for over 50 or more years.  Twelve people were honored and were brought forward in the service to be presented with a yellow rose.  Later a celebration was held in the Fellowship Hall and those honored were marked out by being given gold stars to wear - because that day they were being honored as stars within the congregation.
